We started Sofa Modular after noticing that most furniture companies made the buying experience harder than it needed to be — long lead times, awkward deliveries, and sofas that didn't fit through the front door.
Our answer was a modular system: flat-packed boxes that pass through any door, click together without tools, and can be reconfigured whenever your life changes. Every piece is crafted in our Mirfield workshop by a team that genuinely loves what they do.
Today we offer corner sofas, straight sofas, U-shapes, and armchairs — all in six premium fabric ranges with six colourways each. Whatever your space, whatever your style, we have a sofa for you.

Every sofa that leaves our workshop has been hand-cut, hand-stitched, and hand-finished. We don't cut corners — literally. Our upholsterers take pride in every detail, from the precision of the seams to the tension of the cushion fill.

Built From the Ground Up
Solid Wood Legs.
No Compromise.
We were particular about the feet — perhaps a little obsessed, if we're honest. Every leg on every Sofa Modular sofa is cut from solid wood: three layers laminated together to create a block that is genuinely strong, not just solid-looking. No hollow cores, no filler, no shortcuts.
Our standard leg raises the seat 10 cm from the floor — a height we arrived at after a lot of sitting, standing, and sitting again. It places you in a natural, upright position that makes getting up effortless, whether you're 25 or 85. If you'd prefer a lower profile, we can accommodate that too — just ask.
For the finish, we use Rubio Monocoat oil as our default — a single-coat, plant-based oil that enhances the natural grain of the wood without masking it. If you prefer a painted look, we offer an oil-based paint finish in a range of colours to complement your sofa fabric.

What's Inside Matters
You Get What You Pay For.
A lot of sofa companies cut costs where you can't see them. We don't. Every decision we make — from the frame to the back panel — is made with the customer in mind.
No Plastic Feet
Many sofa manufacturers fit cheap plastic feet to keep costs down. We don't. Every Sofa Modular comes with solid wood legs — laminated, finished, and built to last. You'll feel the difference the moment you move the sofa.
Double-Sided Cushions
Our cushions are finished on both sides. Flip them regularly and they'll wear evenly, hold their shape longer, and look better for longer. It's a small detail that makes a big difference over time.
Full Fabric Backs
Remove the scatter cushions and you'll find the back of your sofa is fully upholstered in the same premium fabric as the rest. No bare boards, no cheap lining, no nasty surprises. Just a sofa that's finished properly — because that's what you paid for.
