Welcome to Sofa Modular. These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the use of our website (sofamodular.co.uk) and the purchase of our bespoke modular sofas. By accessing our website or making a purchase, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. General Information
Sofa Modular ("we", "our", or "us") is a business that designs and builds bespoke modular sofas according to customer specifications. These sofas are customisable and built-to-order unless otherwise specified as in-stock items.
2. Orders and Lead Times
2.1 Custom Orders
Our sofas are custom-made based on your specifications. By placing an order with us, you confirm that all the information provided is accurate, including size, design, fabric, and colour preferences. Once your order is placed and confirmed, it cannot be modified, exchanged, or cancelled, except as specified in the "Cancellations and Refunds" section below.
2.2 Lead Times
All our sofas are made to order. Please allow a lead time of 4–6 weeks for production and assembly, depending on your product selection. There is no next-day or express delivery option. Delivery timeframes are in addition to this production lead time and will depend on your location and our delivery schedules. While we strive to meet the expected lead time, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. Sofa Modular is not liable for any indirect losses caused by delays in production or delivery.
3. Payment
3.1 Pricing
All prices listed on the website are in GBP and inclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without prior notice. However, once your order is confirmed, the price will remain fixed.
3.2 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods: Stripe (Credit/Debit Cards) and Bank Transfers. Payment must be received in full at the time of order placement. Orders will not be processed until the full payment has been cleared.
4. Delivery
4.1 Delivery Times
Delivery is arranged after the production period. The estimated delivery date will be provided to you upon completion of production. Please note that delivery times vary based on location and availability.
4.2 Delivery Charges
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size of the sofa. Deliveries within Yorkshire are free. Delivery charges are not refundable once the delivery process has begun.
4.3 Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that the sofa can be delivered to your property, including the appropriate access points (doors, stairways, hallways). We are not responsible for sofas that cannot be delivered due to access limitations, and redelivery charges may apply.
5. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds
5.1 Custom Orders
Due to the bespoke nature of our products, custom-made sofas are non-refundable and non-returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect. In the unlikely event that your sofa is faulty or damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
5.2 Returns of In-Stock Items
For in-stock items, you may return the product within 14 days of receipt, provided it is in unused condition and in its original packaging. Refunds will be issued minus any delivery costs.
5.3 Refund Process
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item or after resolving any manufacturing defect claims. The refund will be issued via the original payment method.
6. Product Descriptions and Customisation
We make every effort to provide accurate product descriptions, images, and specifications on our website. However, due to the handmade nature of our products, slight variations in colour, texture, and size may occur. Such variations are not considered defects and are part of the bespoke nature of our sofas.
7. Warranty
All of our sofas come with a 12-month manufacturing warranty. This warranty covers structural defects, including frame and cushion integrity, and begins from the date of delivery. The warranty does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by improper care or use.
8. Limitation of Liability
Sofa Modular shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product that gave rise to the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
